I am a prosecutor turned entrepreneur who thrives on turning liabilities into assets, while providing excellent customer service, leadership and long-term success to my clients. When I work with a client, I view my role as both an attorney and coach. There's going to be a legal aspect to working with the client toward goals in the courtroom, but even more time spent preparing mentally, emotionally and physically for the journey together. I want my clients to know that everything is going to OK, but the client has to be ready to earn the outcome, and that requires a game plan. This can either be the worst day, or best day for a client. I like to embrace the best day approach, and use it as an opportunity for growth, reflection, and learning a major life lesson. Accept the challenge, and be better for it in the long-term. I work with and defend doctors, fellow attorneys, nurses, executives, business professionals, union workers, military officers, teachers, entrepreneurs, professional and college athletes, airline pilots, and the good hard working people of Michigan who find themselves charged with a criminal offense. We take a stressful situation, which seems very much "up in the air" and turn it into a manageable set of goals with a plan in place. I believe that a client should not be judged on a single moment, but rather should have the opportunity to turn this poor "first impression" into what I call a "true impression". Should your case define you? Absolutely not. Your past, present and future should define who you are. This means your family, career, reputation and standing in your community should be the most important factors in how the prosecutor and court treats you. Unfortunately words alone can't do the job, so we put real actions into place. As a prosecutor, I successfully prosecuted thousands of cases, including felony, misdemeanor and drunk driving cases. Because of my success, and the demand for my services, my law firm uses an exclusive legal representation policy. This policy limits the number of criminal law cases that I accept each year. The policy was developed to ensure that my select clients receive the proper care and attention their case deserves. We take every call, and talk to every client, but we cannot represent everyone that calls us.
